Hireability & Making Money (60 Min)
Whether you are an aspiring or established performers, some of the most important choices you'll
make in your burlesque career will involve who to work with, who to turn down, and when to ask for
more money. In this class, we'll discuss what characteristics make a performer hireable and how to
make the most of your current and potential resources to make more money performing.

Self Promotion / Online Marketing (60 Min)
Red Hot Annie will discuss the basics of how to effectively market yourself and your burlesque troupe.
This class is ideal for performers and producers who want to maximize their exposure while minimizing
the amount of legwork/papering required when using posters/postcards.

Speciality Burlesque Workshops: Hair & Makeup
Basic Makeup for Stage (60 Min)
Whether your makeup style is classic or drag, learn application tips and tricks that will improve how
your makeup looks on stage, as well as in person. Teacher will demonstrate on students, explaining more
complex application techniques including fake eyelashes, eye liner, and glitter.
($15/student / Minimum: 5)

Advanced Stage Makeup: Beyond the Basics (90 Min)
This class goes beyond the basics into what makes a makeup application look professional and stand out.
Teacher will demonstrate on students, explaining application techniques in Basic class, as well as
eyelash application, highlighting & contouring, and eyelining techniques that flatter each student's
eyes (hint: not everyone needs the same amount!).
($18/student / Minimum: 5)

Basic Hair for Stage (60 Min)
With emphasis on technique and having the right tools, this class is geared towards estabalished and aspiring
performers who'd like to clean up their technique. Teacher will demonstrate on students, explaining more basic
hair techniques including where to part, curl, and tease your hair for a professional looking 'do.
($15/student / Minimum: 5)

Intermediate Vintage Hairstyling: D.I.Y. Professional Styles (90 Min)
Whether you prefer classic or drag hair styles, learn approaches for creating vintage styles that suit your
larger-than-life persona on stage. This class focuses on the basics of how and where to part, curl, and tease
your hair so that it looks like a professional did it for you. Teacher will cover: pin-curls, rats, rollers,
and various 'dos that can be created with these fundamentals.

Basic Burlesque - Movement & Pacing (2 Hrs)

Stage Presence (60 Min)
Whether your performance style is sexy or funny, whether you are standing, talking, or dancing, learn techniques
that will allow you to become more accessible to the audience. With emphasis on confidence-driven movement drills,
facial expressions, and mental focus and calm, this class is geared towards established and aspiring performers who'd
like to appear more comfortable on stage. Teacher will guide students through techniques including how to warm up an
audience, make your first impressions on stage, using your stage space and light, and find calm even in the most
nerve-wracking of performance situations.
($15/student / Minimum: 5)

Basic Fancy Footwork (60 Min)
Focusing on what happens below the belt (legs/feet), this class is geared toward aspiring and established performers
don't have a dance background but want to look like they do! Using basic dance principles, the teacher will define
ten stances and footwork combos that can be used to add pizazz to your current acts! Using a combination of classic &
modern burlesque music, teacher will guide students through applying these ten stances/footwork combos correctly and
effectively.
($15/student / Minimum: 5)

Speciality Burlesque Workshops: Feedback
Peer Review: Developing a Professional Quality Act - Critique/Feedback (3 Hrs)
Whether your dance style is comedic or sexy, find the balance in dancing, charisma, and relating to your costume to build an act that is festival quality. With emphasis on stage presence, this class is geared towards beginning & established performers who want to get honest feedback on taking their best act and making it festival-level. Teacher will demonstrate moves, explain technique, and give written notes that can be used after the class to polish up your act. Handouts provided, bring pen for notese. Men and women are welcome in this class, but all performers must bring an act that is complete with music, choreography, & costume.
($40/student / Minimum: 4)
